Authentic Greek Pizza Recipe (Tiropita)
Ingredients for the Dough:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup olive oil, divided
- 1/2 cup water
Filling Ingredients:
- 10 oz fresh spinach, chopped
- 1 cup crumbled feta cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped scallions
- 1 egg, beaten
Instructions:
- Make the dough by mixing flour and salt, then stirring in 1/4 cup olive oil and water until combined. Knead 5 minutes until elastic.
- Cover and let rest 30 minutes. Roll into a thin 12" circle.
- Mix filling ingredients together in a bowl.
- Spread filling evenly over dough, leaving a 1/2" border. Brush edges with egg wash.
- Fold uncovered dough up and over filling to fully enclose, pinching seams to seal.
- Brush top with remaining oil. Score tops. Bake at 375°F for 30 minutes.
