Authentic Greek Pizza Recipe (Tiropita)

Greek pizza


Ingredients for the Dough:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup olive oil, divided
  • 1/2 cup water

Filling Ingredients:

  • 10 oz fresh spinach, chopped
  • 1 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped scallions
  • 1 egg, beaten

Instructions:

  1. Make the dough by mixing flour and salt, then stirring in 1/4 cup olive oil and water until combined. Knead 5 minutes until elastic.
  2. Cover and let rest 30 minutes. Roll into a thin 12" circle.
  3. Mix filling ingredients together in a bowl.
  4. Spread filling evenly over dough, leaving a 1/2" border. Brush edges with egg wash.
  5. Fold uncovered dough up and over filling to fully enclose, pinching seams to seal.
  6. Brush top with remaining oil. Score tops. Bake at 375°F for 30 minutes.
